Scott started attending Ridgecrest at the age of 3 when his family moved to Florence from Macon, GA. At the age of 7, he began taking piano lessons and at age 9, accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. When Scott was 15 years old, the full-time Church Pianist at Ridgecrest left to serve at another church and Bill Brown, the Minister of Music at the time, asked Scott to help out with choir rehearsals. This eventually led to him accepting the role of full-time Church Pianist, which he has faithfully continued to do for over 35 years now.
Scott is married to Melinda Buxton Crawford and has 2 sons, Andrew and Adam. He hopes to continue serving the Lord through music as long as he is able. Scott also sings tenor, baritone, and sometimes bass in the Adult Choir and participates in the Drama ministry at Ridgecrest during special holiday programs. Scott’s other musical abilities include playing the organ and saxophone. Scott is employed at Merge Healthcare Solutions as a Sr. Solutions Consultant when he is not at the keyboard on Sunday.
